“Mehrtens SalesConsult” was founded by Bernd Mehrtens in 2016. The consultancy and sales agency offers premium manufacturers the combined experience gained from selling premium branded products from international industrial companies over many years.
The foundations of Bernd Mehrtens’s professional expertise were laid during an apprenticeship as a joiner at what was then one of the most respected furniture producers and interior designers in Germany, WARRINGS in Bremerhaven, Northern Germany. He followed this by studying Economics and attaining a Master’s degree at the university of applied science Rosenheim, Bavaria (now the Technical University of Rosenheim).
His activities at company “bulthaup” were highly formative in sales and brand management. bulthaup is one of the leading premium kitchen manufacturers worldwide. In over 10 successful years he held a variety of sales management roles, up to sales responsibility for the core German market.
He was an authorised representative and member of the general management team of the brand ”Miele Die Küche”. During this time he was in charge of the reorganisation and general strategic adjustment of sales activities as part of the integration of the kitchen furniture production of Miele & Cie (Miele Die Küche) into the Arbonia Forster Group, Switzerland. The successful brand switch within the sales network from ”Miele – the kitchen” to what is now “WARENDORF - the kitchen” was one of his major tasks.
Bernd Mehrtens moved into interior outfitting for superyachts and megayachts as an international sales director in senior management for company „Loher“, responsible for key account management and business development.
In his next assignment as the Head of Sales for the highly respected international company Bang & Olufsen, Denmark, his main tasks were restructuring the German/Austrian market, a subsequent turnaround with double-digit growth rates and consolidating the German/Austrian market among the Top 5.
